- Find the model manual and tell the technician the heater type and fuel.
- For a tank heater, arrange annual flushing, temperature-and-pressure relief valve testing and anode inspection as specified by the manufacturer.
- Hot water, pressure and fuel connections can cause injury. Have a qualified professional perform service; never cap a relief outlet.
- For a tankless heater, arrange manufacturer-specified descaling instead.
